When current Housing Manager, Madison Caparros, started at Florence Crittenton Services as a Family Advocate, the first person on her caseload was Wendy, a lively and determined teen mom with two young boys. Wendy’s initial concern was with housing, and although the Housing Department at FloCrit didn’t yet exist, Wendy and Madison began tackling each of Wendy’s housing challenges head-on. Wendy graduated from Florence Crittenton High School in 2020 and currently lives with her children at Warren Village First Step, a transitional housing program for teen moms and a FloCrit partner. With safe and affordable housing, she’s able to focus on her education at the Community College of Denver as she studies Criminal Justice full-time.
