When Alyssa discovered she was pregnant, she was gripped by fear and uncertainty, leaving her unsure of what to do next. However, her path took a hopeful turn when she discovered Florence Crittenton Services, a non-profit and high school in Denver designed for teen moms just like her.

After enrolling at Florence Crittenton High School, Alyssa found herself surrounded by teachers, classmates, and staff who understood the unique challenges she faced juggling motherhood and her studies. She felt a sense of belonging she hadn’t known before.

This program didn’t just boost her confidence; it showed her she’s more than just a label. Through the support she found, Alyssa transformed from being embarrassed about being a “teen mom” to owning her identity. Florence Crittenton gave her a space with comprehensive wraparound support to navigate both her teen years and motherhood together. Alyssa graduated with the Class of 2023 in May and is studying Criminal Justice at the Community College of Aurora.
