These programs enable corporations to give back to their communities and support organizations that employees are already passionate about.  They encourage and reward employees for giving back to the community.

If you volunteer at Florence Crittenton Services, please tell your company’s human resource administrator and ask if your company has a Dollars for Doers/Volunteer Grant program to support your volunteer efforts. For more information, please contact our Special Events & Volunteer Manager, C.C. Frick at 720.423.8910 or cfrick@flocritco.org.

Volunteer Spotlight

Marie Whiteside

Since 2013, Marie has been a committed, weekly volunteer in the infant room of our Early Childhood Education Center. She recently received well-deserved recognition from 9News as a 9Who Care award recipient for her extraordinary efforts as a Florence Crittenton volunteer.

She radiates kindness and sincerity, and brings along a wealth of knowledge. With her calm demeanor and experience as a pediatrician and mother of five grown children, Marie patiently explains the various stages of child development and encourages our young mothers to engage in activates to support their children’s physical and emotional growth.

Her warm smile and engaging personality are the perfect antidote for young mothers who are unsure about leaving their newborns while they attend high school. Marie has a natural ability to make our young mothers feel at ease, and helps them build confidence as parents and women. She has also gone above and beyond by donating in-kind items such as high chairs and other supplies for the infant room. She is an extraordinary role model and has made a remarkable difference in the lives of young mothers, children, and staff at Florence Crittenton.
