I began to volunteer with Florence Crittenton Services at the beginning of my first semester at Regis University. We had one day when all the nonprofit organizations came to Regis and presented to us. They gave a brief summary of what they do and who they help. I was automatically touched after hearing about Florence Crittenton Services, and who they helped. Honestly, I wasn’t aware that these kinds of organizations existed to help young moms. I’m glad to be part of a great, kind-hearted team.
I’m one of the administrative volunteers at Florence Crittenton Services. Last semester, I helped with marketing. I’ve always liked event planning, video editing, and helping making things possible. I learned a lot of new things from paying attention to small details to make work look more professional and just better to look at. On top of all of this, I go to Florence Crittenton Services to learn new things about myself and just to be an extra hand for anyone in needs.
My favorite part of volunteering at Florence Crittenton Services Is the people I get to be around while I’m there. Everyone there is always happy and smiling. What’s really cool is that the school isn’t huge; it has the right amount of students, babies, and employees. Everyone knows everyone. As an extra bonus, we’re able to care for the little, cute, adorable babies.
