This year, our Fall fundraiser is getting a new, fresh, and innovative look. We are thrilled to announce Mission Month during October—an entire month of virtual community gatherings, remote and in-person volunteer opportunities, and conversations with FloCrit teen moms and staff. Click on an event to register or sign up for a volunteer shift.
During Mission Month, take an art journaling class with our Art Therapist. Participate in a mindfulness workshop with FloCrit teen moms and staff. Join us on campus for socially distanced volunteering. Tune into our second virtual FloChat to connect with a panel of our teen moms as they talk about how they juggle school, parenting, and being a teenager during a pandemic. Host your own virtual event or fundraiser to share why you support FloCrit with your family and friends.
October 10, 2020 would have marked the 16th Annual Miles for Moms. Even though we cannot gather to run and walk the streets of the Valverde neighborhood around the FloCrit campus, we will continue the tradition of celebrating our teen moms and their families with Mission Month.
Join us this month for all things FloCrit. Plug into FloChats, a panel discussion with FloCrit moms; drop in to our weekly art journaling series with FloCrit’s Art Therapist; invite your friends and create your own informal info session to share why you support FloCrit.
Take action throughout the month. Join us on campus to make our weekly food bank and basic needs distribution possible. Look for the purple calendar squares to see how volunteering at FloCrit can fit into your schedule.
Celebrate our mission to educate, prepare, and empower students by supporting the programming that makes teen families in our community stronger. Schedule a monthly gift or make a one-time gift in celebration of Mission Month. Create a custom experience for your friends and invite them to join you as a FloCrit champion. Tap into your digital community and harness its generosity with one of our virtual fundraising tools. Make an impact and share your passion for Florence Crittenton Services during Mission Month by being one of our Social Media Champions. In a time when gathering in person is difficult, digital media remains one of the best ways to introduce new folks to the stories of FloCrit teen moms and their kids. When you share these stories, you encourage giving and ensure our community can continue to educating, preparing and empowering teen mothers and their children.
We’re looking for three to five enthusiastic and engaged individuals who are committed to growing the reach of FloCrit, using Mission Month as a catalyst, and who are dedicated to share the stories of FloCrit teen moms and their kids throughout the year.
