Ezekiel graduated from the Florence Crittenton Services ECE Center this year, and will go to a new school in the fall. His mother, Cheyenne Torres, is finishing her GED tests this summer and hopes to become a nurse.

Zeke has been attending the Florence Crittenton ECE Center since he was 6 weeks old. He is now 4. He spent two years in the preschool classroom with his teachers Ms. Sherry, Mr. Tyler, and Ms. Jaylen. Zeke missed being at school when the campus had to close this March due to COVID-19. During the school year, he loved to do everything, especially play with slime and play on the slides on the playground, but he misses playing with slime the most. “I played with slime and made it into a giant burrito coffee,” Zeke says.  He liked playing with the other kids in his class, too. “I had 100 friends,” Zeke announced. His best friend though was Jackson.

Zeke had a special bond with his teachers. “When I’m upset or mad or frustrated or worried, I would talk to them,” he says. His teachers helped him feel better when he felt that way. They taught him ways to calm down. In his preschool classroom, Zeke also started learning how to write his name.

Zeke is looking forward to starting a new school in the Fall. He hopes that he will get to go to school with his friend Kayden. He is excited to learn new things and make new friends.

“Zeke is our class Super Hero!” says preschool classroom teacher Ms. Sherry. “He is smart, funny, and imaginative. We will miss him so much, but we are excited for him to make new friends, learn new things, and head out on his next big adventure.”
